Debora A. Rodriguez, MRC

President and CEO

Debbie Rodriguez has worked in the nonprofit world of health and human services for over 20 years as a clinician, educator, new business developer and administrator. She joined Recovery Resources in July 2005 as Chief Operating Officer and has been its President and Chief Executive Officer since August 2008. In this capacity, she has overseen a comprehensive strategic planning process, initiated a department devoted to new business development, and implemented the process of bringing another non-profit agency – Spectrum of Supported Services – into Recovery Resources. Debbie was recently appointed to the Board of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, the Governor’s Task Force on Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, and the Steering Committee of the Mental Health Advocacy Coalition. Prior to her tenure with Recovery Resources, Debbie was the director of community planning at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland for three years. She was responsible for heading strategic planning activities, facilitating various collaborations amongst affiliate organizations and overseeing the design of programs. Debbie also served as vice president of program services and strategic planning at the Center for Families and Children for three years where she led the agency through a strategic planning process and oversaw the delivery of services to approximately 10,000 children and families in the greater Cleveland community annually. She received her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University. Debbie also holds a Diploma of Social Sciences from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.

Richard Hill

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Rick Hill received both a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and an M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has served as Medical Director for Ravenwood Mental Health Center and as Chief Clinical Officer of Geauga County. He has also given numerous lectures on both mental health and substance dependence and has many years of clinical experience treating patients who suffer from such diseases. Among his many community activities, he serves as a member of the Medical Advisory Board for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Cleveland. Dr. Hill serves as a supervisor for staff physicians, fellows, residents and medical students and is a faculty Senior Clinical Instructor at Case Western Reserve University.

William Morgan, CPA, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

William Morgan, CPA, has more than 20 years of accounting, finance, operations and leadership experience. In September 2010, he joined Recovery Resources as Chief Financial Officer. Bill began his career as a senior accountant with Arthur Anderson & Company. From there, he moved into telecommunications which led to a Controllership position. He worked his way up to CFO with a group of privately owned companies. Returning to Cleveland, he became the CFO at the National Office of the United Church of Christ, overseeing a $50M budget. Most recently he served as Chief Executive Officer for United Cerebral Palsy, where he established a vertical integration strategy and oversaw quality control, annual budget, fundraising and strategic program development for five distinct social service and medical therapy programs. Bill graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Cleveland State University and Cum Laude with an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Trustee on the Pension Boards of the United Church of Christ, $3B in assets. He chairs the Budget and Finance Committee as well as the Audit Committee and is a member of the medical insurance committee. He is also the owner and property manager of WPM Properties, a commercial and residential real estate management business he started in 1989.

Charlotte Rerko, MA, RN

Chief Operating Officer

Charlotte Rerko, has more than 30 years of experience in critical care, psychiatric nursing and treatment of chemically dependent individuals. As Chief Operating Officer, Charlotte's responsibilities include establishing policies, managing operations and providing leadership and direction for the agency. Charlotte’s work settings have included intensive care, cardiac care, emergency room, detoxification, psychiatry, substance abuse/dependence and community care. She was Mental Health Professional of the Year in 2003 and is Board Certified from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing for children and adults.

Peggy Corbin, PHR, MSM

Director of Human Resources

Peggy Corbin has been the Director of Human Resources for Recovery Resources for nearly six years. In this capacity, Peggy oversees all aspects of the HR function for the agency, including the development of new and innovative recruitment and management tools, such as successful management development curriculum. Prior to coming to Recovery Resources, Peggy spent 13 years with another large and complex human services agency, West Side Ecumenical Ministry, as its chief program officer and area executive director. Peggy's passion for, and commitment to, the nonprofit sector was spawned by her early career as a junior high teacher. She simply transferred her passion for educating and coaching from a classroom to a business environment. Peggy has a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University and a Master's degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, she holds a Professional Human Resources certification.

Natalie Friedl, MBA

Development Director

Natalie Friedl has spent the last ten years in nonprofits serving in a variety of roles. As Development Director for Recovery Resources, Natalie oversees fundraising efforts by way of individual and planned giving, public and private grants, events, and in-kind donations. These efforts result in over $1 million towards the agency’s operating budget and largely support treatment provided to those with the inability to pay. Prior to coming to Recovery Resources, Natalie supported vulnerable populations in Broadway / Slavic Village neighborhood through direct service, marketing, human resources and development work at Community Assessment and Treatment Services, Inc. and University Settlement. Natalie received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Kent State University and her Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in nonprofit management, from Walden University. In 2010, she was chosen as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Ladder to Leadership Fellow.








Megan Kleidon
Director of Programs and Services

Megan has more than 15 years of experience designing and implementing programming in the areas of public health, higher education, leadership development, and behavioral health. In her role, she provides leadership and supervision for clinical staff, leads systems change efforts to ensure a comprehensive integrated framework of services, and develops innovative and enhanced programming for the expansion of Behavioral Health services in Cleveland and its surrounding communities. She is passionate about improving systems, embracing innovative approaches, and above all, about developing people. Prior to her work with Recovery Resources, she served as the Director for Tobacco Control Programming with the Lake-Geauga Center and Family and Community Services, developing comprehensive initiatives and building grassroots coalition efforts to address public health and tobacco prevention and control over a 5 county region. Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling.

 

 
 Stephen Morse, Esq.
 Director of Agency Relations

 Steve has worked in the field of mental health services for more than 30 years, first as a direct service provider with the Ohio  Department of Mental Health followed by the Cleveland Legal Aid Society. After three years in private practice as an attorney,  he served as chief executive officer for Aftercare Residential Services, Panta Rhei, Inc., and Spectrum of Supportive Services. Steve has a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University, and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, in addition to a Certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University in Supported Employment for Persons with Disabilities.

 
Heather Torok, MPH

Director of Business Operations

Heather Torok has a 15 year history working in both large Hospital and smaller Non-Profit environments. Her experience includes operations and management, new venture/start-up endeavors, quality improvement, finance, marketing/communications and evaluation. Currently Heather oversees Business Development and AssistNOW, the Employee Assistance Program division of Recovery Resources. In this capacity she fulfills Recovery Resources' strategic objectives of diversifying revenue and providing cutting-edge behavioral health and wellness services for over 100 client companies and/or agencies. Heather joined Recovery Resources in 2004 after seven years at The Cleveland Clinic Health System. In 2010, she was chosen as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Ladder to Leadership Fellow. Heather has a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College. Early in her career, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Trenton, N.J. through Teach for America and as a health educator and HIV counselor for Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland. She is a member of the American Public Health Association.
