Pharmacologic Management Services

Psychiatric services provided by a physician for people with mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or depression, who might benefit from a professional mental health examination and recommendation for pharmacotherapy. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The purpose of PHP is to help consumers with mental illness who are at risk of re-hospitalization or who are being released from the hospital and are in need of continued support and stabilization.  The PHP is a six-week intensive therapy program that runs from Monday through Friday— 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Sessions are divided into three 50-minute groups and one 30-minute group.  Breaks are offered every 50 minutes.

In order to address the multiple needs of consumers, the PHP is made up of the following sessions:


· Check-in, medication and goal setting offers an opportunity to check-in with the group and discuss concerns about
  medication

· Mental illness and you offers a venue to process feelings around mental illness and increase understanding of symptoms

· Stress management explores stress symptoms, causes, triggers, and origin, and helps consumers develop positive coping 
  strategies and responses

· Social skills offers practical advice about relating to other people in an appropriate and assertive manner

· Daily living skills provides exercises and discussions of healthy ways to develop, enhance and maintain independent living 
  skills

· Relaxation/review of daily goals  provides an opportunity to learn and experience the tenants of relaxation through 
  breathing and visualization exercises
